What went wrong?

It disturbs me greatly that there could be such a breakdown in communication. And while I understand the we're human and make mistakes...But  it's a cruel cosmic joke to have given these families such hope and joy that their loved ones were safe and would be coming out alive only to have it taken away. My prayers are not only with their families but with the man who DID survive.  I pray they find peace of mind to cope with such a tragedy and that they did not suffer long or be to afraid. And for the one who did survive may he have a speedy recovery in body, mind and spirit and may the fact that he lived and others died instead not be a burden but something he can use to move forward so that something like this does not happen again to anyone else.

On a more local note I am also saddened by the burning down of the old Town Hall in our town. I didn't hear about it until late in the afternoon yesterday when I was at work from one of the girl's in the office who lives around there. It not only held a place in precious memories for friends of mine but it was a piece of valuable history for this town and now it is lost forever. And people wonder why I don't have much faith in town politics...Someone's head is going to be put on a silver platter when they find out why the insurence policy lapsed....Kind of suspicious don't you think?
